Position Description

Title: Analyst, Finance & Operations
Location: San Diego
Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Hours: 30 -40 per week

Summary: Under the supervision of the Operations Director, the Analyst will be responsible for general accounting activities and provide office support in an efficient and professional manner.

  1. Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions
  2. Process cash receipts and payments; record revenue and receivables
  3. Prepare and send client monthly invoices with required documentation
  4. Perform indirect cost allocations, monthly accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, fixed assets depreciation, and make adjusting journal entries if necessary
  5. Process company credit card transactions, reimbursement requests, and receipts submitted by cardholders on monthly basis
  6. Manage transactions of client funds; collect payee information for payment processing, including but not limited to demographics, contact information, housing and health status
  7. Ensure that financial records are properly maintained and readily available for audits
  8. Provide support on monthly reporting and ad-hoc analysis
  9. Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience
  2. Knowledge of QuickBooks Online or other accounting software
  3. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  4. MS Excel proficiency required, MS Access experience a plus
  5. Efficient communication skills and must be able to collaborate with other team members in the organization
  6. Desire to take initiative and motivation to grow into new tasks and responsibilities
  7. Must have a strong work ethic, and the ability/willingness to meet both external and internal deadlines

Compensation and Benefits:

  1. Salary DOQ ranging from $50,000-$60,000 annually
  2. Participation in firm’s medical, dental, vision, long-term disability and life insurance plans with firm contributions of up to $500 per month
  3. Participation in the firm’s 401(k) plan, with firm contributions of 3% of your compensation per plan year (subject to vesting requirements)
  4. Reimbursement of up to $40 per month for cell phone costs and up to $72 per month for commuting to work via public transit
  5. 10 paid holidays per year
  6. Paid time off equivalent to 15 days per year
