Throughout her career in homeless services and supportive housing, Ms. Bezaire has designed and managed many large, multi-sector homeless and housing initiatives that take a collaborative systems approach to addressing complex issues. She is passionate about advancing homelessness solutions that expand supportive housing and strengthen partnerships with the health sector. She recently led the implementation of the County of Napa’s 1115 Waiver Whole Person Care Pilot, which expanded permanent housing for homeless Medi-Cal beneficiaries who frequently use emergency departments. She also led implementation of a plan to create 2,000 new supportive housing opportunities in Portland, OR, which involved both community planning and on-the-ground management of supportive housing in new construction projects. Prior to this work, Ms. Bezaire provided homeless and housing program technical assistance to communities across the US as a consultant with CSH. She designed and implemented social enterprise and employment programs during her nine years at the Downtown Women’s Center in Los Angeles. Ms. Bezaire holds a BA in Politics from UC Santa Cruz and an MBA from Willamette University.
