Title: Senior Associate (Business Development Manager)

Status: Exempt

Compensation: $70,000-$75,000

Job Type: Full Time

Duration: 6-month trial period with long-term intent

Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Team Leader or her/his designee, manage all internal business development and marketing functions, including monitoring bid opportunities, preparing proposals, developing and managing collateral materials, and producing website content. Manage content and distribution of monthly newsletter and assist LDC team leads with marketing-related requests.

Duties

  • Proposal development
    • Monitoring bid opportunities and notifying team leads
    • Preparing proposal responses (RFP/Qs, etc.)
      • Proposal template preparation (cover letter, general firm information, required forms)
      • Coordinating scope and budget content with team leads
      • Formatting according to RFP/Q or other bid requirements
      • Copy editing
      • Printing, binding, and shipping proposal responses
  • Business development analytics
    • Tracking proposal wins/losses
    • Inputting information from team leads regarding additional contracts
    • Working with the Operations Team to ensure contract amounts are accurate, including amounts for subconsultants
    • Tracking website and newsletter analytics
  • Newsletter preparation
    • Facilitating monthly Newsletter Committee meetings
    • Maintaining annual newsletter content spreadsheet
    • Coordinating monthly content development with team leads, including CEO letter and article images
    • Monitoring and including in newsletter local and statewide upcoming events
  • Website content
    • Ensuring website content is up to date, including project summaries, staffing, images, publications, etc.
  • Collateral materials
    • Revising existing content, developing new content
    • Working with graphic design team to update existing or create new templates (e.g., reports, presentations, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Public Policy, Government, Communication, Psychology, Sustainability, or other social sector studies
  • Strong writing and copy-editing skills
  • Highly organized and able to establish efficient systems to effectively coordinate and complete complex projects with multiple components and staff inputs
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
  • Proficient in Google Drive Software Suite and Apple Products
  • Self-starter who is comfortable managing existing projects and taking the initiative on new projects with limited supervision

Preferences

  • Post-secondary degree in a related field
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Experience in adult learning, public policy, and housing/ homelessness issues
  • Accounting and/or budget tracking training or on-the-job experience
