DELIVERABLE:
Medi-Cal Housing Flex Fund
LDC partnered with Anthem Blue Cross, one of the largest health insurance providers in the United States, to design and implement a housing flex fund used to prevent housing instability. The Flex Fund could be used to stabilize a plan member’s housing in many ways, including by paying for apartment application fees, security deposits, up to three months of rent, up to three months of rental arrears, utility deposits, move-in items, and moving fees.
LDC provided an organizational and strategic backbone to this program as it was designed and implemented, helping disburse millions of dollars of Flex Funds to vulnerable households across more than six states.
